We collect information necessary to coordinate emergency pet recovery, maintain secure microchip registries, and power community pet profiles:

Guardian Account Data: Name, contact email address, emergency phone number, and account credentials.
Pet Clinical & Identity Records: Pet name, breed, age, photo uploads, markings, medical vulnerabilities (e.g. insulin/allergy alerts), and ISO 134.2 kHz microchip numbers.
Geospatial & Location Telemetry: Approximate coordinates and search radii when you launch an emergency 5-mile push broadcast or report a sighting pin on our spatial grid. We only collect precise GPS coordinates with your explicit browser permission.
Payment Information: When upgrading to Guardian VIP subscriptions or purchasing credits, payment details are securely tokenized and processed directly by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 Certified). Pawz Reunited never stores raw credit card numbers.

Emergency Recovery Alerts: Broadcasting missing pet alerts within a 5-mile geographic radius to nearby registered guardians, volunteers, and shelters.
Veterinary & Municipal Shelter Triage: Transmitting verified clinical incident dossiers to accredited animal hospitals and municipal animal care centers when a pet requires emergency medical care.
Multimodal AI Processing: Utilizing Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini and Imagen 3) for optical character recognition of collar tags, breed feature matching, and generative emergency alert flyer synthesis.

3. Data Protection & Cryptographic Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (256-bit encryption). Clinical incident records dispatched to veterinary hospital PIMS systems are protected with HMAC-SHA256 digital signatures to ensure tamper-proof chain of custody.
